Summary:
​
In this role, you will work closely with the Global Controller and CFO to oversee all aspects of accounting and reporting.
​
Responsibilities: ​

Provide oversight of regional accounting teams and month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, reporting processes and deliverables

Review consolidated financial statements, footnotes and related supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements

Serve as the primary accounting contact for company's largest region; in consultation with the technical accounting team, determine the appropriate accounting for non-routine matters and advise the Global Controller on the accounting implications of proposed transactions

Review in detail schedules and related commentary on key business line items, including carried interest revenue, expense, and related accruals;fund co-investment balances and P&L; incentive compensation expense and accruals

Identify and implement accounting process improvements, with a bias toward standardization, efficiency, documentation and enhancing controls within the region

Partner with the technology division on system implementation, upgrades, automation, and customization

​Model and cultivate a continuous-improvement mindset; challenge existing processes and encourage the adoption of technology-based solutions and enhancements

Set and effectively communicate Controllership strategy and priorities, in alignment with the broader company's global controller's strategy

Requirements:

CPA Required - Big-4 experience preferred
-
10+ investment industry experience
-
Knowledge of U.S. public company internal control and reporting requirements

Strong technical grasp of U.S. GAAP, including experience in the application of ASC 606, ASC 323, ASC 946, and ASC 825 (specifically, the fair value option)

Demonstrated ability to implement process and/or system improvements and lead through periods of change

Track record of effectively managing both people and processes and contributing to the professional development of teams and direct reports
